We support our troops that are active now, as well as those that have already been there over the years.
Our activities include
1. Teaching Americanism in our schools.
2. volunteering in the V.A. Hospistals as well as local hospitals.
3. We provide opportunities for students to earn scholarships.
4. Youth programs include, Voice of Democracy essays, Patriot's Pen essays, Patriotic Art. These also include monetary awards. We also support the scout program.
5. We are avid supporters of Cancer Aid & Research, and provide cancer grants to our members.
6. We sell poppies in May and November for our relief fund to help our veterans.
7. We support PAC, legislative branch in Washington, D.C. to work for Veterans benefits.
8. We support the VFW National Home, for children that have lost parents.
9. We support Rehabilitation, by escorting our ailing veterans to and from the Dr. and hospitals. Also by doing work for them that they cannot due because of disability or illness.
10. We work with other organizations in our community to help making our community a better place to live.
11. We honor a Policeman, Fireman and EMT Technician for outstanding achievements.
12. We also have a Teacher's award for outstanding performance.
